a film about legendary cinematographer Haskell Wexler by his son Mark Wexler.
Wexler's works: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, American Graffiti, Coming Home, Bound for Glory, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Days of Heaven
This film dealt mainly with the father-son relationship of these two. There are many interviews with famous people that Haskell has worked with over the years. The greatest part was to see interviews with Conrad Hall. About their friendship over the years and the relationship they have with each others families.
There's nothing tech about this film. It's not really a profile but a son trying to understand his father through the eye of a lens.
little side note....watched the whole thing then at the end saw that Mike Kowalski did the sound design for the film.
i stand: GOOD TO SEE THE REAL LIFE OF A BIG CINEMATOGREAPHER
